Fragrance retail is about atmosphere, and the fit-out has to do a lot of the selling. For the Eternal Scent store in Durban, Shop Display manufactured and installed a refined shopfit built around arched display bays, backlit shelving and a soft, warm material palette that lifts the product off the shelf.
The signature element is a run of arched wall units finished in cream and gold, each framing glass display shelves lit with concealed LED strip. We manufactured these bays in our Pinetown workshop and installed them along both sides of the store, giving Eternal Scent a rhythm of illuminated niches that draw the eye down the length of the space. Full-height mirrors set between the arches add depth and make a compact footprint feel considerably larger.
At the centre of the floor we built and installed a pair of freestanding display islands with marble-look tops and rounded, upholstered-look bases, sized to present hero products without crowding the walkway. The service counter and back-wall feature, complete with the backlit brand logo, were manufactured to match, tying the retail identity together from entrance to till point.
Throughout the fit-out, the finishing had to be precise. The gold trim, the curve of each arch and the alignment of the lit shelving all needed to read as seamless in a small, high-end space where every detail is visible. We fabricated the components to fine tolerances and installed them to deliver that flawless finish on site.
